Ready for winter to be over? You won't be after a taste of this soup.
INGREDIENTS
1 onion, chopped
2 TB. butter28 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans tomato soup
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
lots of basil
1 1/2 cups milk
8 oz cream cheese, cut into little cubes
Saute the onion in the butter until soft. Add the tomatoes, soup, paprika, garlic powder, basil, and milk.
Bring to a boil, then let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the cream cheese and stir until melted. Serve piping hot with a few slices of buttered light rye toast.
